99.7% Of Children Secure Preferred Primary School Places As Admissions Results Confirmed

Swindon Borough Council announced that The majority of children have been offered a place at one of their preferred primary schools for September, with new figures highlighting strong allocation rates across the area.

The Council’s School Admissions team confirmed on the 16th of April that 99.3% of children were allocated a place at one of their three preferred primary schools.

Applications for primary school places closed on the 15th of January, 2026, with parents who applied online receiving their offers by email on the same day.

The council’s Director of Education said the high allocation rate reflects the work carried out to ensure families across the area can access suitable school places. The admissions team was also recognised for its efforts in managing the process and supporting applicants.

Families with children starting Reception this September were encouraged as they prepare for the next stage of education.

Parents with questions about their child’s school place were advised to contact the admissions team via email or reach out directly to their allocated school.
